Since a whole series of actions like selecting, confirming and changing points, lines and display modes are required, CALM uses the mouse with only two buttons and one wheel depending on the display mode.
The multiple use this implies must be remembered.
LMB…click left mouse button
RMB…click right mouse button
MW…..rotate mouse wheel
Action | Reaction |
---|---|
Shift+LMB | “Declare” mode: selects line1 |
Crtl+LMB | “Declare mode”: selects intersection point2 |
Shift+LMB | “All with” mode: selects the “yellow” band with the reference bandwidth |
Ctrl+RMB | “All with” mode: selects the “white” band for which its bandwidth is derived by the intersection with the “blue” band shifted perpendicular to the “yellow” band by its width |
RMB | “All with” mode: selects the “blue” band which is used to find the width of the “white” band |
Double click | pattern projections: Confirms the just defined line1 by two points, or the just defined intersection point2 by two lines |
Double click | reciprocal lattice display: Ideal distribution of all reciprocal lattice points will be displayed |
Double click | profile window: if a digital twin is loaded the ideal profile will be displayed |
MW | Tilts a previously selected initial trace around its visible center of gravity |
Ctrl+MW | Changes the bandwidths. The mouse pointer has to be above the gnomonic projection window |
Shift+MW | Shifts an initial trace if selected before |
MW | no initial trace selected: Rotates all projections around Z |
Ctrl+MW | no initial trace selected: Rotates all projections around Y |
Shift+MW | no initial trace selected: Rotates all projections around X |
